"Memory is holy". I can't wait to explore the concept visually. It is tragic and beautiful. What can the sea say about memory and sacredness? Where is the intersection of those ideas? History, a personal return to place, grieving in nature, ritualized reflection at a particular location. The silence of waves - the water keeps moving and appears to not retain anything of its previous form, creating a sense of secretness/confidence to the things expressed in its presence. Ocean, keeper of secrets. What things are lost in the sea? How many people have been enveloped into its mess? Water and memory.
